The results of a survey conducted by Malatya Turgut Özal University on ‘Opinions on Career Planning and Expectations from Universities’ have been published. Two hundred people participated in the study, 125 of whom were women and 75 were men.
The findings reveal that the strongest motivator for individuals in career planning is personal success, while financial gain emerges as an important determining factor. Participants also stated that they most expect universities to support them in terms of courses and practical training programmes that meet the needs of the times.
According to the survey results, society believes that universities should not only be institutions that produce academic knowledge but should also play an active role in the fields of education, economic development, cultural development, and social awareness.
This study provides important data for strengthening university-community cooperation and increasing career awareness. The full report is presented below.
