The 2nd Career School, organized in cooperation with Malatya Turgut Özal University Continuing Education Center (MTUSEM) and Malatya Turgut Özal University Career Center (MTUKAMER) on December 7-8, 2024, was successfully completed. The program, which was organized to give direction to the professions of the future and to provide students with the competencies they will need in the business world, was held with the intense participation of Malatya Turgut Özal University students and graduates. Participants were offered certified trainings for two days.

The main goal of the program was to provide students with not only theoretical knowledge but also skills that can be used in practice in the business world. On the first day, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meral Calis Duman gave a speech titled “Competencies Required for Success in the Century Business World”. Then, Dr. Atilla Ünlü delivered his speech titled “Basic Financial Literacy: Discover the Power of Money”, Dr. Bilgehan Aycan ‘Diction and the Art of Effective Speaking’, Dr. Lecturer Serhat Aksungur ‘Artificial Intelligence’. Prof. Dr. Serhat Aksungur “Artificial Intelligence: The Mind Shaping the Future”, Lecturer. Assist. Cumali Aydoğan “Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Generating Rational Solutions to Challenges” and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müslüme Akyüz shared her knowledge and experience on ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship’.

Career Development Application and Research Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meral Çalış Duman stated that the Career School provides students with basic knowledge and skills needed in the business world, making them more prepared for the future. She also stated that new programs will continue to be organized in accordance with the changing business world requirements.

Lecturer from the Continuing Education Center. Assoc. Cumali Aydoğan from the Continuing Education Center drew attention to the importance of competencies such as problem solving, teamwork and creative thinking as well as technical knowledge and emphasized that the Career School responds to the needs of young people in these areas.

In the second day activities, Dr. Yasemin Keskin presented “Communication and Empathy”, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Korkmaz presented “Project Writing (TUBITAK 2209 A/B)”, Uzm. Clinical Psychologist Menekşe Baloğlu “Mobbing (Psychological Violence in the Workplace)”, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abuzer Yeşil “Effective Social Media Usage”, Dr. Mehmet Ozan Gülada “Get on Stage and Shine! Presentation Skills” and Lecturer. Assist. Serkan Bentli made presentations on “Healthy Steps in the Career Process”.

At the end of the program, the participants left the event equipped with knowledge and new competencies that will help them stand out in the business world.
